personal brand Online Marketing, Self Branding

There are so many “secrets” out there to online marketing that it can make your head spin. The fact is that there are many internet business strategy’s that one can choose from. I know you probably have seen many sales page letters that claim if you buy this product or that product you will make millions. Don’t get me wrong there are a number of great courses and products out there that have very valuable internet business information. I have used a few of them myself and achieved great success. One very important element to having a successful career online is self branding.

Self Branding

There are a number of products out there that when you see them you know exactly who makes it. It has a specific feel or look to it. That is branding. As an online marketer you are going to want to do the same thing with the products you promote or create. You need to give the campaign your own touch so when costumers read your advertisement, to them it feels personal. You should try to have something common in all of your sells pages or emails that can be like your signature so when people see it they automatically know that it is you behind the product or service. Once you have gained the trust of your clientele just the assurance that they know that you are behind the product being offered you can generate a sell and have repeat costumers. The idea is that they know that its you without having to see your name. They see your brand.

Try to be aware of this concept when doing any of your advertising and product creation. Making yourself a brand name is a great way to build trust between you and your clients.

Looking at it from the other side of the coin, not having a website allows you to only attract 30% of potential customers. That it is a deficit large enough to put most companies out of business. With that said, it is not enough to just have a website. If you want to be taken seriously, you must have a professional looking website. A well designed website for a small business can give you more credibility than larger companies with poorly designed websites. In most cases your website will be the first impression that a potential customer will have about your business. They should be able to easily navigate the website and learn more about your business from the comfort of their own home or office. Presenting a poorly designed website could leave you out in the cold when it comes to whom that potential customer chooses to give their business to. This happens far too often when companies choose a “design it yourself” website package and try to build a professional website themselves. (more…)
